Behind The Book

After 15 years of work, Growing Up Female is finally out on June 14th. This book has been a long time coming and I am so excited for it to be out in the world. I didn’t want this book to be another The 5 Steps to Being a Girl type book, I wanted to write from a place of experiences in my life that have contributed to the process of growing up female. This book is an authentic & real version of my life experiences that have gotten me to where I am today.

The BEST part about this project is that multiple of my students joined with me to complete it! To earn certain class credits they ran marketing, design, photography, and more! I’m so glad they believed in me when I couldn’t believe in myself. These students have made this book so incredibly special.
